Leif Strickland is journalist based in Los Angeles, Calif. A former staff writer for The Dallas Morning News, he has also written for Newsweek, the San Diego Union-Tribune, and D Magazine in Dallas. As an undergraduate at the University of Southern California, he was named one of the top ten college journalists in the United States by the Scripps Foundation, and won second place in the prestigious Hearst National Writing Championship. In 1997 he was named National High School Journalist of the Year by the Journalism Education Association.

He currently works as an editorial photographer, specializing in portraiture and travel.
